President’s LetterPresident’s Letter: March 2006

I want to thank our vice president in charge of programs, Vicki Shultz, for setting up a marvelous chapter meeting last month at the new School for Italian Plasters, here in San Diego. Once we all found out where Fern Street really was, we had a very good time.
Some of us stayed a bit late and we were able to set up a class specifically with chapter members. Those who were there signed up immediately . They were: Kate Weiss, Emma Wright, Brenda Glad, Audrey Recchia, Sheri Skiba, Karen Jorgenson and Vicki Shultz. Were allotted 10 spots…soooo…we have 3 available spots left for the chapter. Please let me know if you are interested. You will need to be a member in good standing and this will be a first-come, first- served basis. Please note that this is a week long professional class that will result in becoming certified to install these finishes and use these products in your business. We thought it might be fun to all be in this class together, but it is certainly going to be more intense than a 4-hour convention-type plaster class….so know what you are committing to. The class will be approximately $1600. and is scheduled for June 5th through June 10th. Interested? Let me know.

SALI has posted the bio’s for the teachers who will be teaching at the upcoming convention in Chicago this July (17th-22nd). While the class descriptions are not posted yet, you can get a pretty good idea of what they will be teaching. I noticed many classes in business applications for working on building your own business in addition to a wealth of classes. Go online to the SALI website and see for yourselves.

Our board will be meeting on March 28th, so if you have any pressing issues you would like on the agenda for us to entertain, please contact me with that information.

See you at the March meeting.
Audrey
